Art has been an integral part of my life since I was a child. It is a therapeutic creative outlet to explore interests and complex ideas. I have taught elementary, secondary and adult students in the school systems, post-secondary institutions and in my private studio for many years. My approach to teaching art focuses on enriching students’ creative capacity while learning technical skills. Each student is unique and can excel with the help of an ongoing creative practice. All classes are held in person in my private art studio.
SPRING 2023 CLASSES
children (ages 6 – 12)
OPEN STUDIO
Saturdays, 1 pm – 2:30 pm
starting April 8 – June 17
This class is perfect for any students wanting to learn a variety of mixed media art skills. Students will be exposed to painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, digital art and animation – all guided by the individual interests of each student and my expertise. In the past students have created a large body of 2D and 3D artworks along with short films and animations.
CLASS SCHEDULE/STRUCTURE
The open studio functions as a prepaid drop-in class. Classes are purchased in 4, 8 and 12 session packages. Each student will receive a punch-card that they can bring to each session. This is allows for flexibility in schedule.
Studio classes are structured with inquiry based teaching methods. I aim to build the subject matter, skills and theory out of the interests of each individual student. I strive to incorporate enriched studio lessons that enhance artistic skills, give room for creative exploration and include art theory. The format of each class is an open studio. Students will work independently on their own projects while among other students in my private studio.

INTUITIVE CREATIVE STUDIO
Wednesdays at 7:00 – 9:30 pm
Starting April 12 – June 21
This class is perfect for anyone wanting to students wanting to learn a variety of mixed media art skills while also tapping into their intuitive skills. Students will be exposed to painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking and creative journaling and will create a variety of works that are inspired by intuitive cues.

The Creative Intuitive Studio functions as a prepaid drop-in class. Classes are purchased in 4, 8 and 12 session packages. Each student will receive a punch-card that they can bring to each session. This is allows for flexibility in schedule.
Studio classes begin with a short theory lesson and intuitive meditation practice. Each student will work independently on their projects/creative journals. This class is a safe space for students to explore creative interests while also focusing on intuitive development, inner healing and tapping into personal creative abilities.
