collective card pull

It has been a very emotionally intense month for the collective. I have been feeling a lot of whirling and buzzing of energy. Many people have been telling me they have felt the same. Sleeping patterns are off. Lots of unyielding anxieties. And of course, this is on account of some giant collective issues and shifts that are surfacing. We are in a crucial moment in history. There is an end of something coming, and I think we all can feel it. What that is, I’m not sure we know, nor how it manifests, but something is shifting and we’re all feeling it.
I sat for a moment after yesterday’s Full Blue Moon with myself in silence. I asked for a collective message for the month of November. As I was shuffling two cards flew out of the deck, so this month we have a couple of energies to look at in our reading. Firstly, I saw the Ten of Swords. In this reading what I feel from this card is an ending, and for some it may feel like defeat.
The second card that flew out of the deck is by far one of my favorite cards in the deck, the Ace of Cups. The Ace of Cups is a gift from the heavens. A beautiful cup of intuition, bountiful love, compassion, and emotional comfort. So, what does this mean when placed with the overwhelming exhausted energy of the Ten of Swords? Well, here’s my take on it.
The swords have always been the challenges we face as a collective. Many of us view the term challenge as obstacles with which we are presented. However, the tarot suggests that the biggest challenges we face are that of our own perception. What the Ten of Swords indicates is the end of a way of thinking. Yes, there is defeat in that, but there is also closure and definitiveness. And with the surrender to a new perspective, we can open ourselves up to the gifts of the Ace of Cups.
In other words, it is our time to take control of how we perceive the world around us, ourselves and our impact. If we all understand that the smallest shift in one can create riptides in the many, then there is great possibility for our future. And of course, the Ace of Cups is that possibility. Which, I think, is an incredible direction. For the Aces of course are portals into our connection with a higher consciousness.
astrological forecast
End of Mercury and Mars Retrogrades
If you have noticed some tensions in your ability to think things through or have been feeling intensely over the last few months, it is likely on account of the retrograde seasons of Mars and Mercury. Mars has been in retrograde since September 3, 2020 and as mentioned last month, we have been in Mercury retrograde for most of October. Luckily Mars will be finishing it’s retrograde November 14, 2020 stationing direct in the sign of Aries, and Mercury will be closing off it’s retrograde season on November 4, 2020 in Libra.
Mars has put it in a bit of a chaotic internal struggle during its retrograde, highlighting our inner struggles with sexuality, aggression, ambition and drive. While Mercury, on the other hand, has made for a confusing October, asking us to pay closer attention to our inner world, while our outer communication systems were foggy and slightly unreliable. Now although these two planets will be stationing direct this month, we’re not completely out of the woods. There is a shadow period that occurs before and after each retrograde season as the planets move into their new station. Albeit these effects are not as severe as the retrograde, there is still some residual turbulence. So be mindful of this when making plans and during moments of high stress.

Mercury Enters Scorpio
Mercury will be entering Scorpio on November 10, 2020 until the beginning of December 1, 2020. While Mercury is in Scorpio, we can expect a lot of information coming through the airways in very blunt and hard hitting ways. This is a time of fairly poignant truth bombs, being a great time to resolve problems with people or situations that may have hurt you deeply. Being a very introspective transit, this position of Mercury also makes it a great time for creative writing and revelatory work which often results in some form of therapeutic breakthrough.
Venus Enters Scorpio
On November 21, 2020 Venus moves into the sign of Scorpio staying there until December 15, 2020. Venus rules our attraction and investments. It is the planet that governs what it is we find valuable. With Venus in Scorpio, it’s likely during this transit you’ll find yourself inclined to spend or value the more taboo aspects of society and yourself. This transit sparks interest in the ‘darker’ aspects of society. You’ll find yourself more interested in solitude during this time or with small, quite intimate gatherings. This is an intense transit with intense feelings, so the best advice is to find company which makes you feel comfortable in expressing your deepest self.
New Moon Scorpio, November 15, with Full Moon in Gemini, November 30
This month is full of Scorpio energy. The new moon in Scorpio on November 15, 2020 asks us to look inside our deepest selves for those skeletons which may have been in hideout for some time. It’s a great time to focus energy and intentions on overcoming inner wounds and asks us to be patient with others, as they are likely going through the same inner journey. As the full moon rises in Gemini, these intentions can manifest in a social way. After spending the first part of the lunar cycle in introspection, the Gemini full moon is a great time to spend with some close friends to discuss ideas and gather information.
Pluto and Jupiter Conjunction
Pluto has been dancing in the sky with Jupiter most of this year. The conjunction on November 12, 2020 will be the third Jupiter-Pluto conjunction, this year. The first one happened on April 5, 2020 and the second one on June 30, 2020. With both of these planets in the driven and highly capable sign of Capricorn, it’s a great time to find out how to defeat challenges effectively and successfully. Most of the time, we are not aware of our immense inner strength. But this astrological aspect helps us to discover it and to let it shine.
